Al finalizar las clases de inglés, realizamos una ruta a pie por la costa hasta llegar a una de las playas de la zona. Allí los alumnos pudieron disfrutar del paisaje, relajarse y jugar a la pelota. Por la tarde-noche, la actividad estrella fue el karaoke, una oportunidad excelente en la que muchos de nuestros estudiantes se atrevieron a cantar canciones en inglés en público.

Fue muy divertido.

The day started as usual with English classes in the morning. Afterwards, we went on a beautiful coast walk and stopped at a beach, where the students spent some time relaxing, enjoying the seaside, and playing ball games. In the evening, we had a karaoke night. It was fantastic to see so many of our students build up the courage to sing songs in English. We danced a lot and had an absolutely wonderful time together!

La jornada comenzó por la mañana con las habituales clases de inglés en el instituto. Al terminar, realizamos una excursión a la histórica ciudad de Canterbury, donde los alumnos pudieron admirar su famosa catedral y pasear por sus encantadoras calles medievales. Por la tarde, participamos en un taller de teatro: una actividad fantástica en la que muchos alumnos se soltaron a hablar en público en inglés.

In the morning, the students attended their English classes as usual. Afterwards, we went on a cultural trip to Canterbury, where we visited the stunning cathedral and explored its historic streets. In the afternoon, the students took part in a drama workshop. It was a fantastic opportunity for many of them to build confidence and practice public speaking in English while dressing up in costumes. They had a wonderful time!

Por la mañana, los alumnos asistieron a sus correspondientes clases de inglés en el instituto. Tras el almuerzo, nos desplazamos al pueblo vecino de Margate, donde disfrutamos de una divertida tarde jugando a los bolos. Después de regresar a Broadstairs para cenar con las respectivas familias de acogida, nos reunimos de nuevo para asistir al Barn Dance. Allí tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender y practicar el típico baile tradicional folclórico, una actividad en la que se lo pasaron en grande. Pudimos vivir la experiencia de ver el partido contra Ghana en las ambientadas calles de Broadtsairs.

In the morning, the students attended their regular English lessons. Afterwards, we visited the neighboring town of Margate for an exciting afternoon of bowling. After having dinner with their host families, everyone gathered at the Pavilion for a traditional Barn Dance. They learned the typical local folk dances, had an amazing time, and danced the night away!

Día de llegada: Comenzamos nuestra aventura con una parada muy especial en Greenwich para visitar el Meridiano Cero. Después, pusimos rumbo a Broadstairs, donde nos esperaban nuestras familias de acogida. Fue un momento emocionante en el que conocimos a nuestros host families y, en algunos casos, ¡también a sus encantadoras mascotas!

Our journey began with a great stop at Greenwich to see the Prime Meridian. After that, we headed to Broadstairs to meet our host families. It was an exciting moment getting to know them and meeting some of their lovely pets!

Día 1: Arrancamos el día con nuestra primera clase en el instituto, una oportunidad genial para romper el hielo y conocer a los estudiantes alemanes con los que compartiremos esta experiencia. Tras un descanso para comer en el pueblo, dedicamos la tarde a una divertida gymkana por Broadstairs para descubrir sus rincones más emblemáticos (¡con premio para el equipo ganador!). La jornada terminó por todo lo alto a las 20:00 con una fiesta en la discoteca junto a nuestros compañeros alemanes, donde nos lo pasamos en grande bailando sevillanas, la Macarena y el limbo.

We started the morning with our first class at the school, where we met our German classmates. After having lunch in the town, the afternoon activity was a fun town trail around Broadstairs to explore the area (with a prize for the winners!). At 8:00 PM, the day wrapped up with an amazing disco party with the German students. We had a blast dancing Sevillanas, the Macarena, and doing the limbo!
